'(205 HUDSON ST.) From Occupation to the State of Immigration', 2016

(205 Hudson St.) From Occupation to The State of Immigration is a deluxe compilation consisting of an audio essay (13:37 min), 14 digital drawings conceived out of portraits of Anne, Queen of Great Britain and 14 photographs of Trinity Church's real-estate investments in Tribeca. During 2015 Ishai Shapira Kalter moved to NYC in order to pursuit his MFA at Hunter College as part of a wider phenomenon of Israeli artists who legally immigrate to the city. In this compilation Shapira Kalter focused on relations between Hunter College studios’ building located in Tribeca to a historical chain of events starting in 1697 with the sovereignty of Anne, Queen of Great Britain in New York, to Trinity Church business interactions with real estate under the clear terms of F.I.R.E (finance, insurance, real-estate) economy.
